Mary Rose Ilaya: A Journey of Storytelling

GainStory was founded by Mary-Rose Ilaya, a passionate storyteller and storyseller dedicated to transforming how brands connect with their audiences. Mary-Rose's love for storytelling began in childhood, fueled by her insatiable desire for stories. She taught herself to read at age five and wrote her first children's book by twelve, showcasing her early talent.

As a child, Mary-Rose would save her allowance and earnings from side hustles to buy books, often going without snacks in school to satisfy her craving for new stories. This dedication honed her vocabulary and narrative skills.

Throughout her education, her unique writing style earned praise from teachers and friends alike. In university, Mary-Rose turned her passion into a profession, mastering SEO, blog writing, graphic design, and more.

After graduation, she went on to gain extensive experience working in the marketing field, ghostwriting eBooks for entrepreneurs, and crafting stories for celebrities and top brands across the North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Her expertise expanded to include social media management and video scriptwriting, making her a versatile creative talent. She currently has over six years of experience in the marketing and creative field.

Mary-Rose's success stems from her grit, determination, and growth mindset. Inspired by the philosophy, "If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you're not sure you can do it, say yes – then learn how to do it later," she continually pushes herself to excel.
